THE PROCEDURE

Breast reduction requires general anaesthesia. After complete preoperative sketches, the surgeon removes skin, glands and fat in various quantities, depending on the case.
Scarring varies according to the techniques used. Frequently, it is found around the areola, vertically, and under the breast (forming a T shape).

THE AFTER-EFFECTS

Breast reduction requires 3 to 4 days of hospitalization, depending on the case.
Patients must wear a sports bra day and night for one month.
Dressings must be applied at home by a nurse during the period of wound-healing.
